In 1820, our city was pioneered by Tennessee native, Richard Searcy, who became known for his influential

role in Arkansas territory legislation. The town of Searcy is home to the Little Red River, a premier trout

fishing destination and major attraction of the Riverbend resort. The community is composed of an
eclectic mix of
families, small business owners, Harding University students, and more.

The historically rich heritage of Searcy is preserved in the landmarks of the 1923 Rialto movie theatre and the White County Courthouse, the oldest function courthouse in the state of Arkansas.

Old meets new each season as Searcy hosts a variety of lively events including Get Down Downtown,

Beats and Eats, and the White County Fair. In 2018, Searcy won the Small Business Revolution and

received a $500,000 makeover to build upon its quaint culture, amenities, and services.
